THE 11th HOUR - 3 shows with Davis Freeman

Een 11de uur Trilogie    

Davis Freeman zal gedurende 3 dagen in en rond ZSenne, samen met zijn gasten, 11 uur durende experimenten opzetten rond het thema VERZET. Hij zal 3 keer 10 uur doorwerken met telkens andere mensen en verschillende praktijken van theater, dans en muziek samenbrengen om onmiddellijk daarna een performance van 1 uur te tonen, waar het publiek is op uitgenodigd om 21.00u op 19, 21 en 23 november. Artiesten die eerder nooit hebben samengewerkt zullen die ene dag gebruiken om met mekaar, in de ruimte en hun eigen esthetiek om een 1 uur durende performance te maken. Het creatieproces zal heel de dag open zijn voor publiek.

Het zal resulteren in een voorstelling om 21u, het 11de uur (gratis). U bent van harte uitgenodigd.

For three days in and around ZSenne Artlab, Davis Freeman & guests will create three unique 11-hour experiments on the theme of RESISTANCE. Colliding multiple aesthetics of theater, dance & music genres they'll work for 10 hours in a row and create a one-hour performance to be shared at 21:00 on November 19,21,23. The artists who have never collaborated together will use this one-day to negotiate with each other, the space, and their own aesthetics to create a one-hour performance together. This creation process will be an open to the public who can come in and out of the gallery throughout the day and will lead to a final 11th hour result at 21:00h.

Di/tue/mar November 19 MUSIC (10:00- 22:00) Performance 21:00

We nodigen 5 muzikanten uit om 11 verschillende songs te maken met als thema VERZET.
Elke muzikant wordt gevraagd om met het begin of een fragment van 1 eigen muziekstuk om een stuk te maken met de groep. De andere 6 songs worden samen gecomponeerd gedurende de dag. Er wordt een programmalijst opgesteld en het concert wordt voorgesteld om 21u. Met Gasper Piano, Alex Davidson, Fleur Khani, Christophe Albertijn, Davis Freeman

We will invite 5 musicians to come together and create 11 different songs on the theme of resistance. Each musician is invited to come with the beginnings or a fragment of one song of their own to create a piece with the group. The other 6 songs would be created together through out the day. A playlist would be created and a concert would be presented at 21:00.

Thu/don/jeu November 21 THEATRE (10:00-22:00) Performance 21:00
Deze dag wordt gefocust op geschreven en gesproken woord. Artikels, dagbladen, romans, theaterstukken, onze geschreven woorden en geïmproviseerde teksten zullen samen een collage worden rond het thema VERZET. Een theaterstuk. 
Met Soetkin Demey, Luanda Casella, Robert Hayden,  Davis Freeman (in het Engels).
 
This day will focus on and around the written and spoken word. Collecting articles, newspapers, novels, plays, our written words and improvised text we'll create a textual collage on the RESISTANCE theme. A theatre work.

Sat/zat/sam November 23 DANCE (10:00- 22:00) Performance 21:00
Deze dag concentreren we ons op performance, beweging en dans, rond het thema VERZET. 5 dansers met verschillende achtergrond en eigenheid komen samen om te improviseren, uit te wisselen and materiaal te kiezen voor een voorstelling in en rondom ZSenne om 21u. 5 dansers, 10 uren, 1 voorstelling. Dans? 
Met Kotomi Nishiwaki, Gaberiel Forstieri, Micheal Reynhaert, Jose Paulo Dos Santos, Davis Freeman.
 
This day will focus around performance, movement, & dance driven by the theme of resistance. 5 dancers with different aesthetics and backgrounds come together to improvise, exchange, and select material for a performance in and around ZSenne at 21:00. 5 dancers. 10 hours, only one performance. Dance?
